The Federal High Court of Calabar, Nigeria, has sentenced Paul Etim and Adam Okon to six years in prison for oil theft. The judge who passed on the sentence, is Justice E. A Obile.

They were tried on two-count charge of conspiracy to commit felony and illegal dealing in petroleum product without license. Justice E. A Obile ordered the release of the wooden boat recovered from the convicts to the Nigerian Navy for destruction.

The judge has said the sentence takes effect from the first day of their arraignment.
